What’s new?

I’m launching a new series of community engagement journalism tours that are available to both NYC residents, NYC visitors and NYC tourists and others. These kinds of tours can vary in scope.

We may talk about history to current events and journalism and the role the community has with what is happening in the city today. We might also talk about cultural and health/science/climate-change related topics.

What is a community engagement walking tour?

Community engagement tours are usually a little more interactive than traditional tours with the chance for tour participants to contribute to the discussion at certain points of the tour, ask questions and to share their concerns about what is going on with New York City.

Community engagement tours are not intended to be a chance to be unkind to each other or to have an uncivilized argumentative free-for-all, but rather a chance to have respectful structured group mini-discussion exercises at certain points during a walking tour.
