Hellooooo….
New York has been my playground for the last 35 years. I have lived in every borough (OK, apart from Staten Island, although I was born in the sister state of New Jersey, so…). My family's story is the classic immigrant's odyssey, beginning in Ellis Island, spanning the rich history of Manhattan’s Little Syria to the beauty and diversity that is Brooklyn.
I have travelled to 32 countries and 29 US States, but Manhattan is where I lay my hat. I am so much like my city--full of energy, stories and dreams, and of course the history and socio-cultural layers. Manhattan is a feast for the senses, however you choose to take it all in: on foot, by bus, by car or--my personal favorite!--by bike.
I am an old soul wrapped in a natural energetic lifeforce; if you know any Lebanese people, you will understand that my passions run deep, undercut by classic New York humor with its liberal sprinkles of sarcasm. My life perspective is steeped in tough love irony. This, coupled with my knowledge, makes for a great and memorable tour--so give me a call.
I am a foodie down to my core, and love to eat in all the boroughs. Little Syria is part of my family history and of course Arabic culture which spans into Brooklyn, and personal cooking classes.
