I am a descendant of the Dutch settlers in the city, so I love learning and talking about Dutch influence on the city.
I am fascinated by the Revolutionary War history of the city.
I like finding ways to incorporate fitness and learning/exploring.
Heights to Heights walking tour- 2 hours: This tour goes from Hamilton Heights to Washington Heights. You see sites such as Hamilton Grange, Morris-Jumel Mansion and Audubon Terrace. We discuss the deep history and appreciate the beautiful architecture of the area.
River to River - Builidng of a Metropolis- 3 hours: This tour starts up at Gracie Mansion, you will take a ferry ride down the East River and take in the stunning views of the burroughs. Once you get off the ferry we will expolore the path of industry in lower Manhattan. Seeing neighborhoods such as South Street Seaport, City Hall and Tribeca.
Walk the Island- 7 hours: Walking from the top to bottom of Manhattan. Starting in the forest of Inwood down the say hello to Lady Liberty. This walk focuses on the west side of Manhattan, and incorporates a lot of the green spaces and piers.
Mat Pilates + Tour of surrounding neighborhoods- 2 hours: This is a summer series from June- September. 45 minute Mat Pilates Class in a park, proceeded by a 1 hour walking tour of the surrounding neighborhoods. It's a fun way to explore the city in a new way! Portions of proceeds go to the various parks departments and foundations we're doing classes in.
